"There's a Live Band Here?," Says Drunk Woman with Friends at Merriweather Post Pavilion

Merriweather Post Pavilion is an outdoor venue located in the heart of Columbia, Maryland. For years it has hosted some of the best musicians around the country. However, Sarah McCarty, a Takoma Park 28 year old woman, went to the amphitheater last weekend and never found out there was a live band playing.

“My girl Melissa invited me to go to this place. It was my first time but I really liked it. A lot of open green areas where I could get drunk with my friends,” said Sarah. “We set up a picnic table, opened some bottles of Rosé, and had the best time ever. Just when we were leaving someone said Dave Matthews Band had a great performance. And I was like: someone played live music?”

“I was telling my friends about how hard it is to date in DC, and they were giving me some advice. It was such a heartfelt conversation,” confessed Sarah. “I could hear some background music, but I thought it was just some people playing their radio. I had no clue ‘the’ Dave Matthews was playing. He is famous, right?”

“I told Sarah we were going to a Dave Matthews Band show. Clearly she didn’t listen to me. She was more worried about 

At the time of publication, Sarah made new plans to go to Merriweather Post Pavilion. She is excited to get wasted again with her friends and has no idea Alanis Morisette will be performing.
