The award-winning ‘In the Heights’ is now in theaters and HBO Max. After its incredible run as a Broadway musical, the film adaptation is gaining popularity among all types of audiences. Geoff Thunder, a 31-year-old white man from Wheaton, cannot contain his excitement to post on social media about watching the acclaimed film. 

“I’ve never heard about ‘In The Heights’ before. I know Lin Manuel Miranda is somehow involved so that makes it cool because Jimmy Fallon likes him,” says Geoff. “Posting on social media about watching a movie where the cast is not all white will definitely look good on my feed.”

“I’m not too sure about the plot. I know it happens in NYC, and I love that city. Mostly Soho or Downtown Manhattan,” says Geoff. “Posting on social media about watching a movie where the cast speaks random Spanish words every now and then is going to make me look like a full social justice warrior.”

At the time of publication, Geoff turned on his TV to watch ‘In The Heights’. He immediately turned it off after realizing the move was two and half hours long.
